High performance sustainable bio-based packaging with tailored end of life and upcycled secondary use

SIBO G. joined a very important European project PRESERVE recently. Financed by EU COMMISSION, many EU companies work together, to boost the circular use of bio-based packaging.  New strategies from past to on-going project will be made on primary food packaging.

While Europe highly depends on fossil derived plastics and consumes in the range of 50 Million tonnes per year, only 32% of the resulting waste is currently recycled. Improving its circularity from origin to subsequent life cycles is more than urgent.

We have already enhanced many of our products by making new, sustainable designs, using bio-based materials and PCR materials.
